Reduce Wrist Strain With Boyesen ShokOut

news_prod_atvshokout
Boyesen Engineering has developed a grip system that allows both left and right grips to rotate slightly forward and backward with rider-selected dampening. By so doing, the SHOKOUT™ A GRIP SYSTEM reduces wrist strain, hand blistering, arm pump, and fatigue according to Boyesen engineers.

“Riders looking for a competitive edge need to stay on top and in control,” said Eyvind Boyesen, the mind behind their dominating performance products. “Until now, ATV riders just lived with the beating given to their hands, wrists and forearms. SHOKOUT helps reduce forearm micro-trauma and fatigue for more control and more endurance. Read More

Story From Motocross Action Magazine
IT IS FUEL-INJECTED, HAS LINKAGE AND A STEEL FRAME
At The Milan Show KTM illustrated the determination of the Austrian company to go its own way. With the confirmation in Milan of the key data of the 350cc, including injection and linkage, the tradition-rich offroad specialist is forging “a new path” in motocross. While the company’s 250 SXF and 450 SXF models have been so successful and oriented to suit the specific displacement of the sport’s regulations, now KTM is the first manufacturer in the world to present a 350cc displacement bike for the sport of motocross.

The completely new bike, which will be “ready to race” for 2010 carries the distinct development signature of MX legend Stefan Everts right down to the finest detail. With this project, the KTM MX team boss deploys meticulousness and all his unique ambition to catapult it to a new motocross level. A concrete date for series production of this already very mature prototype has not yet been decided.

No 2010 Suzuki Streetbikes planned

According to an internal source, Suzuki will not import GSX-Rs or other streetbikes into the American market for 2010 as the unsold 2009 models on dealer floors are expected to satisfy demand. Overall, US motorcycle sales through the first three quarters of this year total just 434,370 compared to 771,950 during the same period last year, a drop of 44 percent. Suzuki has announced no new street models for the 2010 model year. We were unable to reach Suzuki for an official comment, but word has it 2010 models are available for order should dealer stocks unexpectedly be diminished.

ATK, Hyosung to collaborate on bike range for Harley dealers

Who needs Buell when you have ATK/Hyosung? The tiny American dirt bike maker will partner with the Korean giant to produce a range of small-capacity street bikes that will be distributed at US Harley dealers. Discussing the announcement, ATK CEO Frank White said, “[Hyosung] will send parts from Korea, and we will integrate those with our own American and European parts. These American-Utah-assembled motorcycles will be targeted to be sold through a select group of Harley-Davidson dealers who are looking for a quality smaller-displacement motorcycle.” The bikes will be sold under the ATK brand name.

So what does Harley think of all this? “The management at Harley-Davidson knows what we are doing with some of their dealers, said White. “However, they do not endorse our activities in any way.” Surely the lack of objection counts as tacit approval or at least throwing ailing dealers a potentially profitable bone during hard times.
